Reiki
Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800’s and is said to involve the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner’s palms to their patient. Energy healing has been used for centuries in various forms.

Reiki (ray-key) is a technique that aids the body in releasing stress and tension by creating deep relaxation.
Because of this, Reiki promotes healing and health. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "the Wisdom of God or the Higher Power" and Ki which is means 'life force energy.' So Reiki means 'spiritually guided life force energy.'
The Reiki system of healing is a technique for transmitting this subtle energy to yourself and others through the hands into the human energy system. This is a no touch process. Meaning this is not a hands on massage, this is energy work done by channeling reiki. Reiki restores energy balance and vitality by relieving the physical and emotional effects of unreleased stress. It gently and effectively opens blocked meridians, nadas and chakras, and clears the energy bodies, leaving one feeling relaxed and at peace.

A treatment feels like warm, gentle sunshine which flows through you, or a cool soothing sensation that surrounds you and comforts you. Reiki treats the person’s body, emotions, mind and spirit as a whole. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. During a treatment the client remains fully clothed.
Reiki is an effective alternative or complement to Sound Meditation or ASMR. Reiki supports any medical or supplemental healing methods a client may be currently using and is of growing interest to chiropractors, western medical doctors, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, psychologist and hypnotherapists.

Here is how Distant Reiki Sessions work

A distant healing session can be done in a number of ways. The practitioner can use a proxy, use visualization, or use a projection of Reiki to send Reiki energy to someone else. The distant Reiki symbol joins the Reiki practitioner and the client together in a sacred healing space.
To receive distant Reiki healing you don’t have to do anything special, but it’s best to lie down and be still if possible. The recipient and healer can agree on a time beforehand and the person receiving simply needs to sit or lie down for the specified amount of time (typically a half hour or so).
The effects of distant healing are virtually no different than in person healing. An experienced Reiki healer (level II or higher) can send healing energy to a person anywhere in the world no matter how far away from the healer they are. The energy transmissions in a remote session are just as strong as if they were delivered in person directly with the hands.
Distant healing is ideal for those who don’t live in a reasonable distance from a practitioner, people who don’t have the means to travel to and from a healers office, or during these uncertain times where we have to socially distance.
Those who are interested in receiving a Reiki healing session do not have to be suffering from any type of illness to benefit from a session. Sessions can help keep the energy channels open, decreasing the likelihood of illness due to blocked Chakras.
